Additional Course Details
The content of these lectures are strongly influenced by the American Psychological Association Guidelines on Trauma Competencies for Education and Training and also integrate Dr. Sacks’ decade of experiences in the role of trauma trainer, consultant and supervisor to hundreds of clinicians around the world. The course syllabus is accessible here.
These lectures are self-paced, though you are encouraged to complete one each week to keep up with course content.
Quality on-demand lectures
Live consultation groups are kept intentionally small (5 people) so that each clinician receives ample time, attention and support. Group consultation will focus on the application of the content of learned in weekly recorded lectures with actual and hypothetical clinical cases. In group consultation, you will have the opportunity to ask questions that facilitate integration of course content into your clinical practice. Group consultation occurs once each week, at the same time each week, for the duration of the 6 week course.

Live individual consultation & support
You will have one 60-minute individual consultation meeting via Zoom with Dr. Stephanie Sacks. This meeting will take place on week 4, 5 or 6 (depending on your preference and our schedules) of the 6-week course.
Prior to your one-hour individual consultation meeting with Dr. Sacks, we will clarify your learning goals, needs and main questions about trauma and PTSD.
During our individual consultation, and throughout any email communication, we will tailor experiential learning, role-plays, exercises and discussions to your specific growth edges.
Interventions & resources
As part of the Trauma Therapist Training Course, you will have access to an abundance of resources including well-validated assessment instruments for trauma exposure and PTSD, clinical interventions and handouts, scientific research articles detailing the science substantiating your learning in the Trauma Therapist Training Course. You will have lifetime access to these resources after the Trauma Therapist Training Course is complete
